Celebrating Blake’s 1st birthday has been something that we have been planning and looking forward to for a while! Here is some of the decor that we used for our western themed party. Links for the party details can be found at the bottom of the post.
Derek made the chicken wire frames with some spare wood and Minwax Jacobean stain. We used them to display the monthly photos that we took of Blake. We gave cowboy/cowgirl hats out to the kids along with pink and navy bandanas. The white bags had a sheriff badge, some western coloring pages, mazes, hidden pictures, and crayons.
On the tables we had brown butcher paper and crayons. I thought it would be cute for everyone to use the table as their own little canvas. Yet another Pinterest inspired idea!
We used the cake smash photos as part of the decor. I just love his facial expressions in these! Cake smash photos taken by Patricia-Marie Photography.
I used this sign from Michael’s and some chalk paint to create a cute area for the kids to take photos. It was a big hit and it was really inexpensive. My mother in-law even rounded up some stuffed farm animals for the kids to pose with!
Some of the cutest kids in America enjoying the photo props! Love these kiddos!
The birthday boy enjoying his cake! Still can’t believe an entire year has passed!
