We’ve had some progress in the past couple of weeks with our bathroom reno. Here are some before pictures so that you can see the mess we are working with. I shared my inspiration board for the bathroom here. So far we have put in a new tub, a new tile floor, a vanity, and painted. Tomorrow we have someone coming to template our countertop. Here it is with the new tile and paint. We chose a white… Read more »
The Christmas decorating has begun! I have been feeling a little under the weather but on Sunday I finally felt enough like myself to start decorating. Started with a tablescape… This is the third time that I’ve used these birch wood rounds. I can’t get enough of them. Especially paired with the white cake stand and bell jar! Picked up a few boxes of silver and gold bells at Marshalls. I love the way they look in this… Read more »
We are finally getting ready to redo our bathroom! Some Pinterest inspiration… Check back next week to see some of our demolition pictures!
I never really “decorated” our little living space when we moved in because of all of the construction. Once we had Blake and I knew our friends and family were going to come over to visit him I figured it was time to throw something together. The funny thing is…this couch is now in storage. I still love it though and when we move I’m sure I’ll use it again. This room was supposed to be a secondary living space… Read more »

Derek had some extra wood and I wanted to make a rustic looking sign…that’s it! At one point I actually thought this would end up in the trash but the result surprised me! These signs were a custom order from Vinyl Crafts on Etsy. The mirror is from Homegoods…. Read more »

I do a lot of daydreaming. Always have and always will. I daydream about creating different spaces as I come across things that inspire me. So every once in a while I browse some of my favorite websites, pin about 3242340 things, and create what I call inspiration boards. I figured that the blog would be a great place to share some of my creations with you. A little black and gold to start off the new year… … Read more »
If you’re looking for something pretty to give someone special I recommend these Voluspa candles… A candle that looks this chic on the outside and smells amazing is a no brainer! I purchased a couple of them from Nordstrom. There are plenty of different scents and colors to choose from. My mom is having her bathroom redone so I decided to get her one of these, some soaps, and monogrammed towels. Happy gift giving!
I knew when we bought this house that I wanted gray siding with a pretty blue front door. It was easy to pick out the siding and the front door. The tricky part was finding the perfect shade of blue! Here is what I was looking for – something that stands out enough to make a statement but not the kind of blue that looks like it belongs on a door in the Caribbean. Does that make sense? Okay good….
