I found this post on Pinterest and I thought about how great it would be to start a new family tradition this year. Basically you start with an empty jar on January 1st and throughout the year you write down memorable moments on little pieces of paper.  On December 31st you sit and go through all of the different memories that were documented throughout the year via this little jar.

Here is my take on this project…which I made for about $5.00 and it could definitely be done for less!

I started with some scrapbook paper from Michael's...I love the clock paper!

Cut up the pieces of paper and keep them in an envelope near the jar so that you have them available when you want to write something down

If you want your jar to look a little different from mine maybe use an apothecary jar or a box instead of the mason jar.  You could also use scrapbook paper that symbolizes all of the different seasons and holidays throughout the year.

Happy New Year!
