Every year my husband tells me that our Halloween decor isn’t scary enough. I actually don’t usually decorate for Halloween at all, I decorate for Fall. White pumpkins, wheat, burlap, mums…you get the gist. Since our son is a year and a half I really want to start making the holidays extra special for him. I hope that years from now he looks back at his childhood knowing I went all out for him during these times. Derek raves about the holiday memories of his childhood and I think that is so special. Since I am a special kind of crazy I had to find a way for our decorations to be scary anddddd nice to look at. Folks I bring you…Scary Chic.
I bought these amber apothecary bottles at an antique fair but wasn’t really sure where I would use them in my house. I love the way they look with the black candles and feathers.
I purchased these poison labels from Michael’s and stuck them on leftover gift tags.
The items that I purchased for this look were the feathers, labels, black candles, and the skull. All of those items can be found at Michael’s. The other items I already had and use throughout the year to style in different ways.
